Firming Up Some Senate Results

The State Board of Elections has more complete unofficial results. Here are some key races for the Senate:

Looks like Alex Mooney lost his Senate seat (District 3, Frederick & Washington) to Ron Young. Mooney trailed Young by 1.6%--665 votes.

Democrats also are leading in a squeaker for an open Senate seat on the lower Eastern Shore. In District 38 (Worcester, Wicomico, Somerset), Democrat Del. Jim Mathias leads Republican Michael James by 0.4%--156 votes.
