Three Votes for MCDCC

The Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee (MCDCC) will be taking three votes on May 11: one on the next District 16 Delegate (they prefer a caretaker), one on an at-large committee member to replace Shirley Rivadeneira, and one on two student members. Following is their press release.

Democrats to Hold Three Votes on May 11, 2010

Legislative District 16 Delegate, Central Committee Member at-Large and Student Members

The Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee will hold its regular meeting at 7:30PM on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at its headquarters, 3720 Farragut Avenue, #303, Kensington, MD 20895 and hold three votes:

1. To submit a name to the Governor for a Delegate for Legislative District 16 (preferably for a person who agrees not to run for any office in the primary),

2. For an at-large member of the Central Committee from any district in the county

(preferably from Districts 17, 19 or 39 who do not have an at-large member),

3. For two student members of the Central Committee, one female and one male.

Candidates should submit an application consisting of a resume and cover letter by 5:00PM, Monday, May 10, 2010, to the Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee’s headquarters, 3720 Farragut Ave., Third floor, Kensington, MD 20895, MontgomeryDems@msn.com, Fax 301-946-1002. Candidates for each position are expected to attend the May 11 meeting, address the Committee, to be followed by a question-and-answer period and the vote.
