Vermont Now Too

Vermont's legislature overrode the Governor's veto to become the fourth state to legalize gay marriage. This outcome was unclear prior to the vote as the original bill fell a few votes short of a veto-proof majority in the House. The override vote was 23-5 in the Senate and 100-49 in the House.
