Becky Wagner's Second Mailer

With due respect to Becky Wagner's team (I know some of them, and hold them in high esteem), this mailer is mail for the sake of mail, and not very much else.

The content is good, in fact going through the endorsements, I felt a strong Upcounty surge of pride: nearly all of her endorsements are West-County/Upcounty-centric bodies.

The Apple is too small. Look, in a poll commissioned for one of my clients, Education was ranked no. 1, and then no. 2 in county issues--lightyears ahead of the rest of the state. If teachers love you, voters around here love you.

Thus, the Red Apple seal of approval should be HUGE on this mailer. It doesn't matter if it's been huge everywhere else already in the past: schools just opened, it's fresh on the parent-voter's mind, and this could have sealed the deal.

The good news is ofcourse is the the seal is an upper left corner: around 60% of eye contact focuses in that area of a document (marketing class statistic, don't pick on me, follow-up commenters!)

The endorsement list is great, but I didn't get a "bandwagon" feel, the way I did when I saw Leventhal's and some other incumbents' mailers earlier this season. The overall feeling is a little too elegant, and not eye catching enough for the exasperated voter who isn't commenting on political blogs.
