Nancy King Launches Attack Site on Saqib Ali

Senator Nancy King (D-39) has launched an attack site on challenger Saqib Ali in the wake of his negative mail against her. The home page uses this picture of Ali allegedly sleeping through a vote.

The site contains a treasure trove of attacks on Ali's conduct as a legislator, including a recitation of his attendance record, a description of broken promises on slots and PAC contributions, a listing of his Facebook and Twitter postings and a calculation that he has only passed three of fifty bills that he lead-sponsored. We expect this to be showing up in mail soon and King may have even more than this to use.

To her credit, Senator King put her own authority line on the site. This is a direct critique of Ali's record and not the product of some shadowy, anonymous group.

Adam,

It is unfortunate that, while Saqib has insisted on running a substantive and issues-oriented campaign, Senator King has stooped to such a level. This website is full of malicious smears and falsehoods. Our campaign is in the process of developing a comprehensive response that sets the record straight for the voters of District 39, who deserve better than this mud-slinging.
