Stormy Weather

The Town of Chevy Chase will be holding at meeting at 7PM on Wednesday, September 6th in the Leland Center Social Hall at 4301 Willow La. on the subject of storm drains--a topic high on list of concerns of Chevy Chase residents in the wake of recent storms. My neighbor has had his basement flooded twice and is "mad as hell and not going to take it anymore" to borrow a phrase. I believe that Mayor Linna Barnes and County Councilman Howard Denis (R-District 1) will both be there. While Councilman Denis is up for reelection this year, Mayor Barnes doesn't face the voters until next May if she chooses to seek another term. Department of Public Works and Transportation Head Art Holmes will also be speaking with town residents.
