County Council Member Marc Elrich has sent a solicitation to supporters summarizing his record in office, asking for money and repeating his long-standing vow to not take campaign contributions from developers. Elrich's account of his record is one of the more detailed recitations of accomplishment and position that we have yet seen from an incumbent. Furthermore, Elrich's decision to stick with his promise to reject developer contributions is noteworthy because of their support for his BRT system proposal. If Elrich changed his mind, he could likely raise tens of thousands of dollars from developers in a week. We reprint the solicitation below.
