One Gaithersburg has issued a new electronic flyer highlighting the endorsements of Ahmed Ali, Carlos Solis, and Ryan Spiegel by County Executive Ike Leggett and the local branch of the Fraternal Order of Police. The flyer also mentions endorsements by Congressman Al Wynn, Councilmen George Leventhal and Marc Elrich, Secretary of Labor Tom Perez, and Board of Education Members Judy Docca, Ben Moskowitz, and Nancy Navarro.
Mayor Sidney Katz and Councilmembers Michael A. Sesma and Henry F. Marraffa, Jr, who are not up for election this cycle, sent out their own endorsement letter supporting Jud Ashman and Cathy Drzyzgula for two of the open seats on the City Council.
Meanwhile, hoisted from the comments, one reader, who opposes the One Gaithersburg slate, urges readers to take a peek at the streaming video of the candidate forums on Gaithersburg's website (view them here and here).

Don't you realize that One Gaithersburg is a PAC from outside of Gaithersburg that has hand-picked and their three candidates so that they will act as puppets for the County Council and the school board?
Think about it: Why else would school board members and county councilmembers suddenly have such an intense interest in a city election?
Could you post a copy of the letter sent by Mayor Katz and Councilmembers Sesma and Marraffa?
I've seen their letter in the Gazette, but I haven't seen any mailing that they were involved with.
I'd be glad to show a copy of the mailing if someone provided me a copy of it.
Your blog is incorrect. I have not mailed any letter of support for Jud and Cathy as reported by your blog even though I am supporting them as the best cadidates for Gaithersburg in this election.
I'm surprised to hear that you haven't mailed out "any letter" since the Gazette printed a letter that it says was signed by yourself, Mayor Katz and Councilman Sesma. See:

I imagine that the point that Councilman Marraffa is attempting to make is that he did not send out a mass mailing. However, I imagine that he did sign the letter in the Gazette.
